Fantastisch gedaan Robert Jan!
The Festival Was On
The seventies had only just begun
We were a bunch of hippies waiting in the sun
The radio kept on playing
Our ’she was naked’ song
We were the promised band and the festival was on
This is what life should be all about
Lots of sunshine, lots of music played out loud
I saw you standing there like magic
The love we felt so strong
We were the new generation and the festival was on
That’s when you tried so fine
You put your hand in mine
We were so in love, the festival was on
We were sure to make this world a better place
Though future proved us wrong
This would change our lives forever
This went far beyond the Cavern
We were the new generation and the festival was on
And the festival was on
And the festival was on
We were a bunch of hippies waiting in the sun
The radio kept on playing
Our ’she was naked’ song
We were the promised band and the festival was on
This is what life should be all about
Lots of sunshine, lots of music played out loud
I saw you standing there like magic
The love we felt so strong
We were the new generation and the festival was on
That’s when you tried so fine
You put your hand in mine
We were so in love, the festival was on
We were sure to make this world a better place
Though future proved us wrong
This would change our lives forever
This went far beyond the Cavern
We were the new generation and the festival was on
And the festival was on
And the festival was on
